Since 1963 The Jemez Insurance Agency has been trusted to protect and advise on what matters most: your family, your business, your community. We serve clients throughout New Mexico including Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Espanola, Taos and Albuquerque.
Founded in 1963 as the first independent insurance agency in Los Alamos, The Jemez Agency remains the largest independently owned and operated insurance agency in Los Alamos. In May of 2000 the devastating Cerro Grande fire roared through Los Alamos destroying more than 400 homes. The Jemez Agency insured more than 200 of those homes. Through hard work and long hours, The Jemez Agency helped those families put their lives and homes back together.
In March of 2001, Allen McQuiston became part owner of The Jemez Agency and today is the sole owner of the agency.
In 2004, The Jemez Agency opened an office in Santa Fe to serve the residents and businesses of the community and the surrounding area.
Today, The Jemez Agency is helping individuals and businesses protect what matters most. As an independent insurance agent, we are able to obtain insurance from multiple insurance companies. This allows us to find the right insurance that fits your needs and budget. As a local agent, we are available to sit down with our clients to discuss their needs and concerns. Fewer than 10 percent of the more than 10,000 independent insurance agencies nationwide that sell Safeco® personal lines products receive this honor.
It is the third time in the last nine years that The Jemez Insurance Agency has achieved this status. Achieving this status reflects an agency’s success and its commitment to serving customers as a trusted advisor.
